威远岛位于珠江黄金内湾，是大湾区重要的组成部分。基于对大湾区环湾城市战略平台的论证及上位规划解读，规划提出“超远威然”的设计理念，依托既有“一校两园”的基础框架，布局形成“一环、两轴、三心、六核、六片”的总体规划结构。针对南部重点地段场地面临问题，提出联系腹地、对话历史、向心内湾、蓝绿岛链、前厅后塔、魅力慢行六大设计策略。通过回溯虎门炮台景观变迁历程，打造文化活力带，衔接东西两侧海战博物馆和炮台群遗迹。在规划总体框架下，营造一个将自然显露于城市，创新与生活相互激发，对话历史的城市空间。
Weiyuan Island, located in the Golden Inner Bay of the the Pearl River, is an important part of the Great Bay Area and has unique cultural and natural characteristics. Based on the demonstration of the Greater Bay Area’s urban strategy platform and the interpretation of the upper level planning of Weiyuan Island, the design concept of “ultra distant and majestic, mountainous and mountainous terrain, and intellectual property return chain” is proposed. Relying on the existing basic framework of “one school and two parks”, the overall planning structure of “one ring, two axes, three centers, six cores, and six areas” is laid out. The spatial structure of the southern key area is composed of 1 cultural and commercial axis, 3 core nodes of water bays, 4 open space corridors, and 8 core functional blocks. The spatial design of key areas in the southern region is planned to trace the landscape changes of Humen Battery, create a cultural vitality belt, and connect the naval battle museums and battery group relics on both sides of the east and west. Under the overall planning framework, create a Weiyuan Island urban space that showcases nature in the city, inspires innovation and life, and engages in dialogue with history.
